Ridley Scott’s Body of Lies Trailer Starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Russell Crowe
I love me some Ridley Scott. Sure the guy might have a few duds in his filmography, but I think the many masterpieces more than make up for it. As of late, he seems to be getting pretty attached to Russell Crowe, having worked with him for the last two films, and now in the upcoming Body of Lies as well. Add Leonardo DiCaprio to the cast and you’ve got my full attention.
Body of Lies is based on the novel by David Ignatius about a CIA agent who is sent to Jordan to track down a terrorist. Although the trailer isn’t all that clear about the actual plot, it’s pretty obvious that it’s a political thriller of some sort, but with more action than, say, Robert Redford’s Lions for Lambs. The trailer reminded me a bit of The Departed, and fancy that, screenwriter William Monahan just happened to pen both flicks. You can bet I’ll be checking this out when it hits theatres on October 10th. Check out the trailer below and let us know what you think of it.

So do I. Blade Runner, Alien, Gladiator, and even Matchstick Men are enough to put him in my top 20.

Yes and hopefully he doesn’t marry him like Scorcese and DiCaprio. I generally don’t like it when directors get too attached like that.
I’m not into political thrillers but Ridley rarely disappoints.
Posted by Ryan M. on July 17th, 2008Looks kind of bland to me. Political thrillers just don’t do it for me, I guess. Or maybe there’s just something else about this trailer that disinterests me outside of a broad genre generalization, but either way I doubt I’ll be catching this in the theater.

Wonderful to watch till the end unlike other war movies it is running slowly and made it mark with grate peace of directing. My self saw it at http://www.80millionmoviesfree.com
