I'm down to see another BHC movie. I don't have a problem with Ratner directing either. A lot of the humor in the movies seemed improvised and that is what I'd love to see again in the next installment. I'm sure they'll have tons of CG work this time around, but it worked in Indy4, so why not in this?

“Because the third ‘Beverly Hills Cop’ was horrible!” Murphy laughed.

No it wasn't! Ok, so it wasn't as good as the first two but it was certainly entertaining. However, if it had been the first rather than a sequel I'd be singing a different song because before the first frame flickered I already had bro-love for Axel Foley. On the Film Junk scale I'd give it 2.75 stars.

I'm restricting myself from moaning on about leaving franchises that originated on screen as trilogies (especially if a decade or more has passed). I'm just going to say that I wish it wasn't Ratner...he's not a curse but he isn't a blessing either. My hopes all come down to the screenwriters now.

Actually, he just came out of his 10 minute retirement. Makes for a better story, to drum up his upcoming projects, than if there was no retirement talk.
