I should start by saying that I don’t really know much about this movie, but the trailer looked so cool even without English subtitles that I just had to share it. I’m a bit of a sucker for the rotoscoped animation style found in movies like Richard Linklater’s Waking Life and A Scanner Darkly, and the Korean film Life is Cool (Geunyeo-neun yeppeotta) seems to be using a similar style to tell a story about three men who fall in love with the same girl.

Director Ik-hwan Choe previously did a horror film called The Voice, but doesn’t have much else on his resume so far. DNA Productions, one of the companies that did designs for The Animatrix is doing the animation work. Either way, I certainly hope this movie makes its way over to North America eventually.
