This Week on DVD – June 17, 2008

Hitting stores this week we have Michel Gondry’s latest film Be Kind, Rewind, which was not all that well-received, but remains one of Film Junk’s top movies of the year so far. Also on DVD this week is Rails & Ties, the directorial debut of Clint Eastwood’s daughter Alison, Chaos Theory starring Ryan Reynolds (no relation to the Splinter Cell games, unfortunately), and Fool’s Gold starring Matthew McConaughey and Kate Hudson. There are a couple of documentaries (Joy Division and Super High Me), the first season of Showtime’s Californication, the second and final season of Jericho, and a new special edition of Mike Myers’ So I Married an Axe Murderer. And last but not least, the original Get Smart feature film from 1980, The Nude Bomb!

  1. Be Kind Rewind blu ray is nowhere to be found! NOT EVEN STUPID HMV.

  2. I almost bought Be Kind, Rewind today, but I decided to pick up the Darkman trilogy for $8.00 instead.

  3. Ouch. Stupid HMV? That’s not fair at all.

Blame the friggin studios who shipped late.

  4. HMV IS STUPID. BUT GREG IS COOL.
