		<description>Why would they bother? The only reason why Transformers was greelit was because it had a huge, built-in Western fanbase which grew up with the show in the 80s. And thus ended up making an obscene amount of money. 

Robotech has never had that level of exposure in North America, the only way they can possibly hope to recreate Transformers&#039;s success is with very bankable stars and a lot of marketing.</description>

		<description>I&#039;ve been waiting for the announcement of a new mecha movie. The great thing about mechs is that shiny metal looks real with CGI. I thought Neon Genesis Evangelion would be first but Robotech is certainly good enough. It has the potential to blow Transformers away with a .44 Magnum because it actually has characterization to build off of. Lawrence Kasdan better read the books too or some geeks are gonna have an aneurysm.</description>
