I think all the naysayers owe the Limp Bizkit main man a formal apology.

Personally, I don’t understand why some people think other people can only be good at one thing.

(Henrik, you better hope Steven Spielberg’s mom doesn’t get wind of Film Junk.)

I was watching “XXX:State of the Union” starring Ice Cube last week, and I was joking with Jay how ridiculous it was that the movie was trying to make Ice Cube’s character more bad-ass than Vin Diesel’s character in the first XXX.

Oh, and Ms. Cube, I don’t like Ice’s music either. (And I’m not talking about Vanilla, although I hate his music, too.)

No one could be as proud of Fred when I observed how much respect he earned by the crew and all of the staff when I visited the movie set of Longshots. He wouldn’t rest until he had done his best on every single aspect of directing this movie. I know you are saying, “But you are just his mother,” but what you may not know is that I have always been his hardest critic. I tell him the truth just as I am telling it to you.

Longshots is a tremendous movie. Icecube is an unbelievably talented actor in this movie, and was so humble to everyone. (He gave up his chair to me whenever I came onto the set, like a true gentleman, insisting that I be as comfortable as possible.) I will never forget his kindness and neither will the entire crew.

So, as with Fred’s music you love to hate, I hope you love to hate the wonderful director, Fred Durst, in the movie, Longshots.

Having Fred Durst as my son is the most wonderful thing that has ever happened to my life. I have always loved to love him.

It just doesn’t seem fair that he technically has the same occupation as people like Martin Scorsese and Paul Thomas Anderson.

ps. I do like old Limp Bizkit though. The first album and parts of the next.
