New To Theatres This Weekend - May 23, 2008

Well, just in case you haven’t heard, there’s a little movie opening this weekend called Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. It just so happens that most people think it will be the biggest blockbuster of the year. Do you agree? There are only a few other limited releases competing with it for screens this weekend, including Uwe Boll’s Postal, and War, Inc., starring John Cusack, Marisa Tomei, Ben Kingsley, and Hilary Duff. Are you planning on seeing anything other than Indy?
Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull
The Edge of Heaven (limited)
Postal (limited)
The Children of Huang Shi (limited)
War, Inc. (limited)

As much as I enjoy Uwe Boll and his personality, I just don’t think “Postal” will be worth shit.
I like his persona infinitely more than his film work.
Posted by Jon Rocks on May 23rd, 2008I went to see Indy Jones on thursday/opening night and there was no comotion at all. The theatre I went did play the movie over 4 halls but still, the one I went to contained around 50 persons in a 500 places hall. I don’t know if this is representative of the outcome this movie gets, I’ll still put that on the thursday release date.
Posted by Julien on May 24th, 2008Most people wait until they can buy a used copy on DVD for $9.99 instead of spending it on a ticket.
I don’t go to the theater unless its a movie I know deep down will be good. Caspian recently and before that it was LOTR:ROTK …. quite the gap, eh?
