Yea, I’ve noticed that there are people who flat out wont see go and see it. Which is odd cause I’m sure they’ve actually paid to go and see worse (or went and saw that Ashton Kutcher/Cameron Diaz movie instead)

I’m not sure thats accurate. People who werent sure but were interested seem to have been pleased… theres a lot of people who would avoid it like the plague regardless of who likes it.

Good man, Goon.

I am honestly shocked at the backlash people are giving Speed Racer. There are a large majority that won’t even go see the film. I found it to be inventive, fun, ambitious and stylistic. I understand the story wasn’t exactly the most complex but the characters were certainly likable and charming. To me, Speed Racer, is a film that got it. It got its source material right and updated it to a more modern time. Something new comes from Hollywood and it gets shot down.

Hopefully Speed Racer will be a film that keeps making consistent money over the summer through word of mouth, cause most everyone who has seen it (critics aside) have come out very positive. I’d love to see the further adventures of Speed and friends.

I was really pulling for Speed Racer. It was a good movie. Ambitious one too. I suppose it’ll get more recognition in 10 years when it builds up a cult following.
