Not the strongest week for new DVD releases… in fact, you might say it’s downright horrible. The stand out discs would seem to be Todd Haynes’ I’m Not There, the disturbing yet funny horror film Teeth, and the Spanish drama Bella… other than that you have to suffer through the Paris Hilton vehicle The Hottie and the Nottie, another mediocre Ice Cube comedy in First Sunday, and The Business of Being Born, Ricki Lake’s documentary about childbirth?! There’s also a Speed Racer animated prequel, a special edition of Twister, and the first season of Crossing Jordan (from Heroes creator Tim Kring). Yeah, you might want to put your wallet away this time around.
