Beverly Hills Chihuahua Trailer

In celebration of Cinco de Mayo, Disney have unleashed the teaser trailer for their next live-action talking animal flick, Beverly Hills Chihuahua. You know, last year I thought Underdog might actually have some redeeming value to it, and it turned out to be a steaming pile of dog crap. I have no such expectations for Beverly Hills Chihuahua. For one thing, it looks like they decided not to use any actual animal actors at all, and just do it completely with CG (at least they did for the trailer). Maybe that makes more sense financially, but if you ask me it ruins part of the charm that these movies can occasionally have.
The movie is directed by Raja Gosnell, the man behind those god awful Scooby Doo flicks, Big Momma’s House and Home Alone 3. It stars Piper Perabo and Jamie Lee Curtis, and features the voices of Drew Barrymore, Selma Hayek, Andy Garcia, George Lopez, Edward James Olmos, and of course, Cheech Marin. What, no Paris Hilton? This is the movie she was born to star in. Anyway, it hits theatres on September 26th, but think I’ll just rent Chris Farley’s Beverly Hills Ninja instead.

holy shit! that’s real? I refuse to believe it exists…ignorance bring me bliss!

I wish they would make kids movies these days that are worth watching. The kids of this generation are going to have nothing worthwhile for the to look back on.
What will be these kids’ “Goonies”, Monster Squad”, or “Home Alone” even?
