Anchorman 2 Confirmed!
Well we heard that Will Ferrell had resurrected Ron Burgundy for his Funny or Die tour a few months ago, but now it looks like he and Adam McKay have finally made up their minds: Anchorman 2 is definitely going to happen one way or another!
In a recent interview with Collider, Anchorman director Adam McKay uttered the following magical words: “Will and I are like let’s do Anchorman 2…so you’re talking like 2 years maybe we’ll do it. But we’re going to do it, for sure.” The only possible challenge would be re-assembling the cast, but come on, seriously… they’d be crazy to turn such a thing down! My guess is that scheduling might be tricky for someone like Steve Carell, but aside from that, it sounds like we’re in for another dose of Burgundy-style hilarity. I say, let the one-liners flow baby.
McKay also mentioned another project he is working on that sounds intriguing. It’s called Channel 3 Billion and he describes it as “kind of this science fiction/Brazil type comedy”. Count me in.
