It's too bad they didn't do something like this back in the early/mid-'90s, because I don't think "the kids" even know who/how righteous the Beastie Boys are. My 16-year-old cousin didn't even know who the Wu-Tang Clan was; he made me feel like a senior citizen at 25. I have never heard of this movie but I would definitely want to see it.
