The Onion Movie Comes to DVD in June
Looks like Fox finally decided what to do with The Onion Movie, which has just been sitting on a shelf collecting dust for the past couple of years. For a time it looked like the movie might never see the light of day, but instead they are going to release it direct to DVD this summer.
Personally, I’m glad to hear it… it always seems like a shame to me when a finished movie is held back from the public, no matter how bad it might be. There’s always someone out there who will enjoy it. Besides, as far as Fox is concerned, I’m sure The Onion name alone will more than enough copies to pay for itself.
Extras on the DVD will include deleted scenes and outtakes, and it hits stores on June 3rd. In case you missed it, the trailer that appeared on The Darjeeling Limited DVD is embedded below.

That actually made me laugh a few times. It really reminds me of “Kentucky Fried Movie” or something similar. I’ll netflix it.
By the way, the picture of the ass-onion on the cover is thoroughly disgusting.
