Tres días (Before The Fall) Trailer: Spanish Meteor Movie Produced by Antonio Banderas

There have been plenty of cool movies coming out of Mexico and Spain lately, thanks in part to filmmakers like Guillermo Del Toro and Alfonso Cuarón helping to raise awareness of the talent in Spanish-speaking parts of the world. Now it looks like we can add F. Javier Gutiérrez to the list of up and coming directors to keep an eye on. He has a new movie in the works called Tres días which translates to “Three Days”, although the movie is going to be released under the title Before The Fall in the U.S.

It looks like another doomsday/end of the world scenario (we’ve been seeing plenty of these lately), this time about a meteor that will hit the Earth in three days time. Unlike Armageddon, there are no oil drillers being sent up into space to destroy the meteor… it’s just a given that the Earth is doomed, and everyone has three days to live. Sounds like a cool concept right? Antonio Banderas produced the film although he doesn’t star in it, and the latest trailer has just arrived online. It’s all in Spanish, but I’m sure you can still get the basic gist from it. Apparently Hollywood studios are already swarming and trying to buy the rights to an English language remake. Either way, I look forward to seeing this at some point in the near future. Tres días hits theatres in Spain on April 25th.
