I finally got around to the books (after the fourth movie came out) and I'm really glad I did. They are muuuch better, as is to be expected. Though, it's harder for me to enjoy the movies as much now (except Prisoner of Azkaban... because Cuaron is awesome). I love the books, and I think the movies are pretty good. But, Sean, I would like to say that I've never met anyone who loved the movies but had no interest in the books. People who love the books would just see the movies as an added bonus. But I doubt they would watch the movies as much as they read the books. Plus, the movies leave stuff out of the books. So, really, the books are where it's at. And if you don't like them, then I can't help you. I think it’s a good idea. I love the books, and I think the movies are pretty good. I guess there's not a lot you can do about it, though... the material consists of seven books, four of which are quite long. But how long will the actors looks the age of their parts? On the other hand, it just feels like the overall Harry Potter story arc is taking forever to get to its conclusion, and this is only going to delay it further.
