I never saw a trailer for the film so maybe that helped. But it really was Ferrell’s delivery once the bear escaped. He just nailed it.

And the gun scene was stupid. I don’t know how you couldn’t see that punchline totally coming.

Goon, I looked it up on the ol’ IMDB and Walk Hard took in 6 with a 18 million total, there was no reason for that, Sweeny Todd and Charlie Wilsons War weren’t competition. but that can’t be compared to semi-pro, 18 million is still alot.

The only times i laughed in Walk Hard were at all the short cameos. To me they were the only redeeming qualities about it.

I love Will Ferrell but now because of all these bad reviews I read I think I’ll just skip this and save all my excitement for Step Brothers.

Really? The bear fight? I don’t know, it seemed like it could have gone somewhere, but it never really did. Maybe the trailer just spoiled it for me.

I think the only time I laughed was the pay off at the end of the russian roulette scene.

Drew, actually I think Walk Hard only took in 4 mil.. it was pretty pathetic… even though it came out the same day as Sweeney Todd and Charlie Wilsons War, by marketing push alone i think everyone expected more..

That might be exactly why Walk Hard bombed! Ethier way Semi-Pro’s 15 Million is better than Walk Hards 8.

I wanted to see Walk Hard but just never got around to it… not sure why really. I guess there were a bunch of other movies out in theatres around that time.

Either way, I can safely say it was funnier than Semi-Pro!

its unfortunate… even if its another Ferrell sports movie, I was hoping it would be funny anyways, thats all I really care about in the end.

…and yes, did any of you see “Walk Hard” – its not perfect either, but it was definitely better than I expected, and certainly deserved better than to bomb so hard at the box office.
