The Rock to Star in The Tooth Fairy

I find it amusing that after all the time he spent being a tough guy wrestler, The Rock’s most successful roles are turning out to be his family-friendly comedies (not unlike a certain former rapper by the name of Ice Cube). I guess that’s why it’s funny though, right? Well, at least The Rock “knows his role”, so to speak, and he’s about to start shooting Disney’s Witch Mountain, before giving us another new heart-warming adventure called The Tooth Fairy. Dwayne Johnson will star as an ordinary guy who finds himself in a magical “tooth fairy kingdom” where he is called upon to save the land and its inhabitants.
The movie is written by Lowell Ganz and Babaloo Mandel (Parenthood, City Slickers, Robots), along with Jeffrey Ventimilia and Joshua Sternin (Surviving Christmas). Michael Lembeck (The Santa Clause 2 and 3) is in the director’s chair. Need I say more? Considering how well The Game Plan did, this should be a guaranteed smash hit. At least I know Greg will be there on opening day.

Sounds like a good movie for dads with little girls, why not?
Roles like this show a good amount of humility and lack of being pretentious.
The Rock is awesome, and is a really smart guy!
