Monday Morning Box Office Report – Feb. 11, 2008

Although it was a pretty dull week at the cineplex, a few movies still managed to earn some decent coin. Matthew McConaughey and Kate Hudson added new meaning to the phrase Fool’s Good by earning $22 million despite terrible reviews, while Martin Lawrence also proved bankable with Welcome Home Roscoe Jenkins. Hannah Montana’s Best of Both Worlds Concert Tour video continued to bring in the kiddies during its extended theatrical run, while The Eye and Juno both rounded out the weekend’s top 5.

4. The Eye — $6.63M
5. Juno — $5.72M

9. Meet the Spartans — $4.08M

I saw Juno for a second time this weekend and i was shocked that the movie theater was still full…almost sold out.
Posted by Mike on February 11th, 2008Mike, I think the word has been spreading around about the movie, and some people may be just hearing about it and going to see it. Hey, it’s not like there’s much better things to see right now! But yeah, a nearly sold out theatre is quite impressive.
