New Rambo Clip is Really Violent!

We mentioned this briefly on the podcast yesterday, so I thought maybe I should post it for anyone who’s interested. Although the most recent trailers for Rambo seemed a bit too corny and Jerry Bruckheimer-ish, you can’t forget the very first footage from the movie that premiered online last year, which looked violent and bloody beyond just about anything that’s ever been released in theatres. So for those people who were getting a bit worried, check out this new clip from Rambo that premiered on IGN last week. Two words come to mind… head shot. It is ridiculously violent, to the point where it becomes somewhat humourous. I am wondering how it even managed to get an R-rating. Either way I am pumped to see this thing. Warning! Viewer discretion is advised. (Thanks to Mike for the heads off… I mean, up.)

  1. Fuck yeah.

  2. Sweet Jesus! All of a sudden Friday feels like it’s a lifetime away.

  3. Here are two more clips — bloody, bloodier, bloodiest, RAMBO: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BJWPQ2Bqeb0http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hC_5l2OfrEI

  4. Well this does seem pretty ridiculous. That headshot is alright I guess, but is it really fun to just see him firing some huge gun at stuff? I guess Stallone can’t run around like he used to, but isn’t he supposed to use mainly the knife, and set up the super-high-concept traps to win his battles? Anybody can kill people with a helicopter gun.

  5. I want to see old Rambo kill people with a helicopter !!

  6. That was pretty funny. The hole through the guy was so big you could see light coming through the other side of his chest.

Ridiculous. But I’m actually pumped to see this.

  7. Henrik, you are aware that this is only one scene out of the whole movie, right?

  8. Yeah we’re talking about this specific clip, and the movie itself as represented by it. How did I manage to make you confused about that?

  9. Oh man. I’m ready for mindless blowing shit up. This looks so bad it’s going to be fantastic!

  10. Henrik – I guess I was confused because you didn’t say that in your post. By saying “I guess Stallone can’t run around like he used to, but isn’t he supposed to use mainly the knife, and set up the super-high-concept traps to win his battles?” it sure seemed to me that you were insinuating that Stallone’s only method of killing people in the new movie would be to stand behind a “helicopter gun”. As I said, this is only one scene and chances are that he’ll wield a knife and/or set a trap sometime during the film.

  11. ” is it really fun to just see him firing some huge gun at stuff?”

    YES!

  12. this is gonna be the best movie of the year i mean it isnt to often anymore you get to seesome hard core @$$ kiking
