This Week on DVD – Jan. 15, 2008
Speaking of Star Wars jokes being played out, I’m sure no one is going to buy the new Family Guy: Blue Harvest Star Wars Special… let’s be realistic here! (Okay, I’m not that stupid, I realize it’s going to sell like crazy.) There really isn’t much else out on store shelves this week either, aside from a few lacklustre comedies like Good Luck Chuck, Mr. Woodcock and The Ten. Making its debut on DVD for the first time is Spike Lee’s 1986 romantic comedy She’s Gotta Have It. The first Dragonlance book has finally been adapted for the screen after all these years, unfortunately it’s a pretty sketchy direct to DVD animated feature. Lastly, it looks like if you want Extras series finale on DVD, you have to buy The Complete Series. The individual disc won’t be available until next month.

I like Family Guy, so that DVD is probably worth a rental.
Posted by joe on January 15th, 2008It seems to be a pretty slow week. I just got back from Blockbuster where I returned Sunshine and picked up Stardust. I guess Netflix will have to tide me over until next Tuesday.
