Juno Scribe’s Next Movie Jennifer’s Body Lands a Director
It should come as no surprise that Diablo Cody’s next movie is getting rushed into production now that Juno has officially become a breakout hit. Back in October, Fox Atomic picked up her second script, a comedic horror/thriller called Jennifer’s Body. Megan Fox (Transformers) signed on to star as an attractive cheerleader in a small town who snaps and starts killing men who show an interest in her. Now director Karyn Kusama (Aeon Flux, Girlfight) has officially joined the project as well.
Clearly the movie has a feminist angle to it (not unlike Mitchell Lichtenstein’s Teeth, for example) so Kusama seems like a logical choice to direct. Just in case you need someone to dig out some pop culture nuggets for you, I feel I should point out that “Jennifer’s Body” is the name of a Hole song, and incidentally, the song that Jason Bateman and Ellen Page jam out to in Juno is also a Hole song. I think it’s safe to assume that Diablo Cody is a Courtney Love fan. But hey, listen up Cody haters… a woman who poses for photos with a Klingon bat’leth can’t be all bad, can she?

Posted by Henrik on January 8th, 2008Jesus, Henrik….have you ever been to a strip club? The girls there aren’t friggin’ Barbie dolls. There’s a reason the job they have is at a strip club. How can you have such a childish and uninformed opinion of strippers? That makes me angry.
Booyah. Anyway…Diablo there is more my style of girl, so I’m a fan.
I’m more concerned that Sean knew how to spell the name of that Star Trek weapon she’s holding. Nerd.
