Or why does Christopher Nolan want to make the same as everybody else?

Christopher Nolan is alright, but lets not get carried away. Memento is his only really interesting work, and that was 8 years ago. I like The Prestige to an extent, but there is just so much hyperrealism that the store, in the end, loses all credibility and relevance to me. It has some cool moments that seem historically credible though, like the story of the old asian magician. I liked The Illusionist alittle bit more, since it was more mythical and not as concerned with trying to be clever and real. I can honestly say that Christopher Nolans hyperrealism that he started with Batman does absolutely nothing for me. It just comes off as cheesy and ridiculous.

ANYWAY, this comic sounds like a fun movie. I love satire like this. I can't say I'm on board with Christian Bale (unless he gets surgery to have his tongue smaller, so that he won't sound like his mouth is filled with it whenever he talks, that may make me give him another chance), but if Christopher Nolan does it, it's probably a no-brainer.

How about Hollywood gets their head out of their populism asses and get Paul Verhoeven on board to do this film? He does the best sci-fi satire in the world.
