Hmmm, is Patty Kare:
A)another angry internet movie critic who hates the fact that other's dislike movies she deems "superior", (OR) B)Vincent Gallo's mother?

I liked this movie mostly for Laurie Bird's special nature. In many ways though it was an ordinary film for its day. Vincent Gallo's The Brown Bunny however is a extremely radical film which was completely original in its day and still is. Gallo's The Brown Bunny owes nothing to this film and those who claim that is does are lazy. That what is out there these days. Lazy writers making lazy comparisons. Two lane is a conventional film that ages well and its period looks are easy on the eye. Gallo is way out of Monte Hellman's league and he will also go down as being much more important than Jim Jarmusch or Richard Linklater, the two others mentioned here. Two lane is a favorite for those who have not seen much. The Brown Bunny is hated by those who have not seen much. Gallo and Hellman both had films in the 2010 Venice Film Festival. Hellman's film was less than nothing special. Gallo's newest "Promises Written In Water" was the best film I have ever seen. Jay C , stay in bed

I loved this film, even if it in many ways tries to defy you into loving it (it offers exactly the opposite what the genre typically suggests). It took me forever to finally get to see the darn thing, but I wasn't even slightly disappointed, and the ending shot was brilliant. Life is a Highway...

Thanks Rusty James. Certain films are a challenge to review, and this was one of them. Hopefully I've represented how most other fans feel about this great road picture.

Two Lane Blacktop is one of my favorite films but it's a hard one to explain to other people. Good work on tackling a difficult subject. Warren Oates is great, and his work with Helman is one of the stand outs of 1970's cinema.

Upon reading this review i was immiediatly reminded of American Graffiti, and that's ironic considering that Gary Kurtz went on to work on that film, what year was this released?
