Love to see dune remake, but would like to see Omnius prequels first. And if we're talking about books to film, how about Ender's Game?

While i grew up with Lynch's version, my wife says she understands the mini series version much better.

perhaps the new Dune makers should learn from this if they want to become the great maker! Fulfill Dune's destiny, and produce a complete story.

The complexity of the politics, relationships, and religion are all critical to the intrigue of Dune, but as Lynch learned, condensing the complexity makes the story confusing, and above most inexperienced Sci Fi viewers.

I would love to see a remake of dune. The only problem is that it suits far better to a developing TV series plot, than it does to an all over in 3hrs plot!

I dunno, between the movie and the series I think Dune should be left alone. Why can't they make a movie of one of the hundred good sci-fi/fantasy books that have yet to be adapted.

It would be interesting to see it re-done. I watched the David Lynch one years ago, but I was falling asleep during it.
