Juno and Sweeney Todd. I enjoyed both movies. I can see why Tim Burton was nominated for Best Diretor in the upcoming Golden Globes and I think he should win. It’s a visually stunning movie.

P.S. I’ll probably watch Walk Hard on Christmas Day.

btw, if you’re at the theater soon, you just might see the trailer for Meet The Spartans – which comes from the makers of Epic Movie

and it looks even WORSE and even more dumbed down, as if that was possible. Who the fuck keeps giving these people money?

Well, wow. Um, its weird to chart my enjoyment of Walk Hard. It starts off pretty mediocre, hits an amazing ridiculous groove where theres like 10 funny things a minute. I’m just smiling for this extended period of time at all these vignettes and cameos. Its silly fun… and then John C. Reilly’s character stops being a piece of shit, and then the movie kind of stinks for a good while – It wasnt a matter of what I liked growing old, they simply seemed to just stop even trying to tell jokes. The very end redeems it, as does the very little bit at the end of the credits, and I WILL buy the DVD. Basically, its inconsistent. What pissed me off the most though is some of my favorite parts in the trailer – fighting Patrick Duffy, and Dewey’s line of foods – aren’t even in the movie! Anyways, its a good time at the movies if you like the Anchorman/Talladega Nights style comedies, I just wish it had kept its stride.

That National Treasure will probably do quite well is an immense understatement. You watch, it will literally dominate. Like Godzilla trampeling over the city.

for me anyways this is the most packed weekend I’ll have in a long time. In a couple hours I’ll be catching the morning show of Walk Hard (the number of positive reviews have nudged me over to the ‘go’ category), then if its playing shortly after I get out of that, I might see Charlie Wilsons War. TOnight I’m booked for Juno with friends and Sweeney Todd will have to wait a couple days or so.
