They were the lamest villains in the history of cinema and one of the reasons the first movie went downhill after the first hour. Del Toro should do more movies like The Devil's Backbone and Pan's Labyrinth instead of silly, mediocre flicks like Hellboy. It's almost like he shoots stupid, popcorn movies for the Americans in order to get money to make his better projects in Spanish. Oh, god, not octopuses again. But for some reason, the character of Hellboy grew on me. In the end, even though with a week villian and overall bad action, the character charmed me. This trailer looks good. The thing that I noticed immediately was how much nicer the production design is on this then the first one. The settings look magnificent. Pans must have definitely had a positive effect on Del Toro. I am impressed. I hated the first movie at first. But for some reason, the character of Hellboy grew on me. In the end, even though with a week villian and overall bad action, the character charmed me.

This trailer looks good. The thing that I noticed immediately was how much nicer the production design is on this then the first one. The settings look magnificent. Pans must have definitely had a positive effect on Del Toro. I am impressed.

They've changed his design a bit more than I'd have liked for this movie, but he still looks badass. The last film seemed to be a take on sci-fi while this new one seems to be more fantasy based, which is how Hellboy has always been portrayed.
