Randall William Cook also was responsible for the FX of the original "The Gate" - wich were really impressive. He also played the monster (and was responsible for the FX)in Tibor Tacacs next movie "Hardcover" wich also is one of those lost movies worth sesrching for. So if anyone is a good choice for remaking Gate its of course Cook. :) You missed an interesting trivia point here.
