Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story Red Band Trailer
I’m definitely looking forward to the upcoming comedy Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story, but I have to admit that I can see the potential for this thing to end up being a bit of a dud too. In a lot of ways it looks like a direct parody of Walk The Line, but I’m really hoping to see some of the more off-beat humour that movies like Talladega Nights had to offer. Unfortunately, Will Ferrell and Adam McKay had nothing to do with this flick, so there’s a good chance a lot of those jokes will be missing. Judd Apatow co-wrote the movie, and it’s directed by Jake Kasdan (The TV Set, Orange County). You always hope that there are going to be some great jokes that they couldn’t show in the trailer, although lately with the trend of releasing R-rated red band trailers on the web, it seems no one’s holding anything back in marketing a movie anymore. A new red band trailer for the flick has indeed found its way online and while it does have some funny moments, it’s certainly not as raunchy as say… Superbad. Aside from a few random F-bombs and some good ol’ fashioned decaptitation, there’s nothing in this trailer that most kids couldn’t handle. What do you think… does Cox have what it takes to be a hit? Check out the R-rated trailer below.

This looks like total crap to me. But hey, someone’s bound to like it and that’s just fine.
