Maybe I was too involved in the story and characters because I still don't recall being particularly blown away by the way in which it's shot. Not to say that it's NOT great but I didn't find it new. I love going into movies with no idea of what the movie is. I think I enjoyed "Little Children" so much becasue of this fact. Last year's Cannes winner, "Wind that Shakes the Barley," was tremendous and am sure this Romanian film will follow suit. Can't wait to check it out. PS - your little jab at Ratatouille was welcome.
