This Week on DVD – Nov. 27, 2007
There aren’t a ton of huge new DVD releases for this week, but probably still a few things worth spending your money on. First off we have the direct-to-DVD Futurama movie, Bender’s Big Score, marking the show’s triumphant comeback after being cancelled. In terms of comedy, we have Hot Rod, Who’s Your Caddy and Mr. Bean’s Holiday (debatable if that’s actually a comedy), and in terms of horror we have Lindsay Lohan in I Know Who Killed Me and Skinwalkers. There’s also already a Hot Fuzz collector’s edition, Adrienne Shelly’s critically acclaimed Waitress, not to mention Anchorman and Old School on HD-DVD baby!

My Hot Fuzz 3-discer shipped from Amazon today! Gotta pick up that Paprika disc as well. If there was ever a reason to upgrade to BluRay, Paprika is certainly it!
Posted by Kurt on November 27th, 2007the Futurama ‘movie’ was very well made. sucker for anything time travel, and this was a good one.
Posted by Goon on November 28th, 2007Bender’s Big Score is the shit! It feels like the show never left (well, aside from all of the jokes in the film about how it got cancelled). The creators of the show really did a lot to welcome back longtime fans of the series with all of the in-jokes, cameos, and references to old episodes in the movie. The whole DVD gives off this great feeling of thanks toward the fans who’ve helped bring it back with their support, and as one of those people, it feels really good to get a new product and see how much Groening, Cohen, and company care. Also, Everybody Loves Hypnotoad was hilarious.
