Sienna Miller is The Baroness
It looks like the G.I. Joe feature film has just signed its first star, and it’s probably not anyone you expected. We have learned that Sienna Miller (Stardust, Factory Girl) is officially on board to play The Baroness, the exotic and evil sidekick of Destro (aka the man with the metal face). Strangely, Miller’s role is being described as the “female lead” in the film. Uh… what? Why is The Baroness the female lead? In this version of G.I. Joe, is she actually fighting on the side of good? Is Destro even in this movie?
Who knows, what with all the weird stuff we’ve been hearing about the ridiculous script for this film. Now they’re saying that the name “G.I.J.O.E.”, is actually an acronym for Global Integrated Joint Operating Entity. Who comes up with this crap? I’ve said before that a G.I. Joe movie could be a thousand times cooler than Transformers, but at the rate they’re going it’s going to wind up being a complete joke. I don’t have any problem with Sienna Miller personally, but I just don’t see where they’re going with it right now. G.I. Joe is currently being prepped for a release date of August 7th, 2009.

That’s pretty funny. Although if they were going for comedic value, they should have gotten one of Jay Cheel’s improvised explanations.

THis is no Joke. It’s alike a special missions adventure. Their Baroness looks like the real deal. So does their version of Duke, Snake Eyes, Scarlet, Cobra Commander and everyone else. And in this version the gi joe team is American!
