I was watching that trailer and I couldn’t help thinking “I’ve seen this movie already” and it was called ‘The Last Casino’ and apparently it’s not known very well… which makes it even more weird that Kurt already mentioned it. Small world?

After reading the book I was totally looking forward to this movie. But after watching this trailer I’m thinking that Hollywood may have ruined it.

There was a nice little Canadian movie starring GingerSnaps actors Katharine Isabelle (ginger) and Kris Lemche (Sam) (and as a bonus, the always delightful Julian Richings (Cube, Hard Core Logo, etc.)) Called THE LAST CASINO which was loosely based on that same book (Bring Down the House). Since It never made it beyond Canada’s low rent HBO (The Movie Network), few people are aware. It is certainly watchable though.
