Yeah when they were released the 1st Resident Evil & Metal Gear Solid games were absolutely awesome gaming/movie experiences if left in their original concepts. Maybe if Romero & Carpenter could of gotten a chance to do straight movie adaptions of the games there may of been good chance of some quality game movies.

Considering that this list contains such titles as Duck Hunt and Tetris, neither of which could really be translated into a film without some MAJOR additions and changes to the concepts (and even then I don't think either could truly work), I take it that the selections were based more on camp value than anything else. The two games that really deserve film adaptations, in my mind, are Metal Gear Solid and Resident Evil. I'm fully aware that three RE films exist, but they're all so far from not just the story, but the heart and soul of the source material, that in my mind they aren't really deserving of the common name. I've got no real hope for a quality Resident Evil film at this point, so that leaves Metal Gear Solid. However, seeing how the story in MGS is already perfect and Hollywood just can't seem to leave good things the way they are, I honestly don't have much hope for a quality film based on this franchise either.
