New To Theatres This Weekend – Nov. 2, 2007
It’s time to see if Jerry Seinfeld’s tireless marketing for his animated flick Bee Movie will pay off. The movie goes head to head this weekend with Ridley Scott’s latest, American Gangster, starring Denzel Washington and Russell Crowe. I think it’s safe to say that both movies will do quite well, and should leave last week’s biggest earner Saw IV in the dust. The other major release out this weekend is John Cusack’s latest, Martian Child, which hasn’t been getting a lot of attention (and deservedly so). If the guy keeps making career choices like this, his stock is definitely going to plummet in Hollywood. The documentary Darfur Now also opens today, but only in a couple of theatres.
