This Week on DVD – Oct. 30, 2007
In stores this week, it is the arrival of the year’s highest-grossing movie, Spider-Man 3! Despite all of the moaning and complaining about this flick, I’m pretty sure it’s still going to sell like crazy, particularly on Blu-ray, where people can now purchase the entire Spider-Man trilogy. Also, if you’re in a Halloween mood, there are one or two titles that may interest you, including Captivity, Day Watch, Basket Case 2, and one of the most horrifying movies of the year, the Iraq documentary No End in Sight! I’m also very curious about the Andrew/Luke Wilson-directed comedy The Wendell Baker Story, which was shelved for a couple years before getting a super limited theatrical release earlier this year (apparently it’s not very good). New TV on DVD this week includes the complete series of My So-Called Life, Everybody Loves Raymond, Twin Peaks, not to mention some killer tats (Miami Ink: Season 1). What are you buying?
