This reminds me of a Tales From the Crypt episode called Abra Cadaver which was awesome. As for Christensen, I don’t really care for him, but the little kid from In the Mouth of Madness sure has come a long way.

I definitely agree with Marina that Christensen can be pretty good when he puts his mind to it; the only non-Star Wars movie I’ve seen him in where I’ve been disappointed by his performance was in Factory Girl, but that movie sucked so hardcore all around that I’m not even sure he’s really to blame for it. I admit it, I’m sort of a fan, so I’ll probably be seeing this.

That single solitary tear sliding down his face was kind of hysterical, though.

I like the idea but I think you’ve hit the problem right on – Christensen is unconscious for a big chunk of the film and his voice is too damned unemotional to make me care. I do hope he’s got some more good performances in him (he was, regardless of what people think of either movie) pretty good in “Life as a House” and “Shattered Glass”. This, unfortunately, doesn’t look like the role that’ll do it.

Is this a remake of “Johnny got his gun”, featured in Metallicas ‘One’? Sure sounds like it.

Either way, I couldn’t care less about this. Jessica Alba sucks, and she seems to be way overrated looks-wise (even though she has danish roots, even I have to admit she’s not all that). Hayden Christensen I’m neither here nor there. I like the Star Wars prequels, but hardly because of his performance. I think he could work in stuff where he should be the cool guy, but he doesn’t have any presence on screen, and his emotional moments in the two movies felt forced and had no weight to them.

It’s tough though because people seem to think George Lucas can’t direct actors. So is it Hayden Christensens fault that you didn’t like his performance? I mean it was alot of people’s first exposure to him, and it might have been a bad first impression. People are able to forgive Samuel L. Jacksons and Ewan MacGregors performances… If he shows up in something other than shit like this and that Nightcrawler movie, I for one won’t hold Star Wars against him.
