there are no female lycans for the pure fact that lucian would probably not convert any females. he is a good guy so it would most likely be hard for him to do.
remember there is a difference between werewolf and lycan. there ARE female werewolves as we know because one of them gave birth to lucian but when lucian was born he started the breed of lycan and only males were used because those were the slaves at the time. so that explains why there were no female lycans up to that point. but even afterwards when lucian was free can you honestly imagine lucian turning a female into a lycan? i cant.

No, it is not in any mythology I studied about werewolves. In those stories there are female and male werewolves both born from tainted ancestors and bitten. Even if females did die in childbirth, (which seems really unlikely since they have super regenerative abilities that heal them of any wound and and make them practicly immortal) they would still give birth to female werewolves and they could still bite females to turn them into werewolves. I think they don’t show female werewolves because the chauvinist and dont think a female werewolf could be both sexy and dangerous the way a female vampire could.

First off lets start of why theres no female lycans… You could say that becuz viktor wanted only the strongest slaves that hed pick only males.. 2nd a female lycan will die during birth to her new lycan its in the mythology. And selene isnt a new speices shes a hybrid just like michael is. Alexander wasnt a vampire or a lycan he was only an immortal. Now heres what i would have wished to see but would have never becuz michael wouldnt b able to stop a HYBRID WILLIAM if marcus had bite his brother… Imagine a winged lycan… it would b over biitchess!

i too am dissapointed that selene is absent from the prequel, but judging from the trailers,it seems to be well worth watching. i too would like to see a fourth movie and for that matter as many as can be made, because i love these films!! so, don’t let us down!! keep the underworld alive and well!

I know that Kate won’t be in this 3rd film but what about Shane Brolly (Kraven) he was the one who took the brand from Lucian to proove his death to Viktor. I have both movies (will be getting them on blue ray) and am excited about the 3rd movie as well because it tells more of the back story. I don’t feel like they are replacing anyone just giving us more info that we may need in the 4th. Can’t wait to see it.

First of all, The 3rd grave is for Amelia. 3 graves, 3 vampire elders, no mystery there. Secondly, although I am disappointed that Kate(selene) is not in it(because my god is she eye candy), I understand that this movie is set in a time BEFORE her family was killed, before she was turned, and before she became a death dealer. The trailer leads me to believe this 1 will not disappoint, I hope I am not wrong.

All I have to say is watch the trailer for the 3rd Underworld “Rise of the Lycans”. It gave me chills. I loved the first two and even though Beckinsale will not appear in this one it is still on my list of must see movies in theater. From the preview I saw alot of the original players. Not only that we will get to learn more about Victors daughter played by Rhona Mitra.

i dunno why theym botherin with a 3rd underworld if Kate Beckinsale ay it.it woe be worth watchin. if u ask me its doomed from the start without its main character. the new blade movie won’t have wesley snipes in so u can bet thats doomed aswell. why do they make trilogies and change the main actors?? theyv got no chance of doing as well as if they kept to the same line up.
