I thought the first Silent Hill film was good and I really don't understand why nobody else liked it. It's not my favorite movie or anything, but when people say they didn't like it (especially those who like the games or other films of the same genre), I just can't wrap my mind around why. Even after reading your review, Sean, I'm still sort of baffled. This is not me trying to say that anyone is wrong in their opinion, because I know preferences differ from person to person, but I guess it's kind of like when I tell people that I don't like Blade Runner and they jump all over me. I have an unstoppable curiosity and fall into a state of confusion when people badmouth Silent Hill. I'm not dying for sequels, especially if Avery's not involved, but I'll most likely see them if and when they are released. Every time someone bashes Silent Hill I feel very confused.
