New To Theatres This Weekend – Oct. 19, 2007
Lots of different movies coming out this weekend including an October horror flick based on a comic book (30 Days of Night), a spoof of inspirational sports movies (The Comebacks), and a crime drama that just might save Ben Affleck’s career (Gone Baby Gone). Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas is also getting re-released again in 3D, and Sean Penn’s Into The Wild is expanding into more theatres, plus there is a new, really terrible looking animated version of The Ten Commandments. It should be an interesting box office race to say the least. Can Tyler Perry and The Rock remain at the top of the pack, or will any of these newcomers pry people away from Halo 3 for a few hours? What are you going to see?

I’ll be seeing 30 Days of Night in a few hours. Reviews seem to be mixed, mostly complaining that the ending is flawed. I honestly wasn’t a fan of the ending of the original comic book miniseries, so I can understand what reviewers might be complaining about. Here’s hoping it’s not too disappointing.
