Judd Apatow Joins Will Ferrell and Adam McKay’s FunnyOrDie.com Viral Video Venture
You may remember that Will Ferrell and Adam McKay (director of Anchorman and Talladega Nights) launched a viral video website earlier this year called FunnyOrDie with the help of a little video called The Landlord, starring Ferrell and McKay’s daughter Pearl. But after you had watched that video, did you ever return to the site? According to a recent article at The Hollywood Reporter, their fledgling entertainment portal lost 81% of its initial traffic over the next 4 months. Which is why they decided to call in the big guns… that’s right, Judd Apatow has now signed on as a partner and will be contributing content to the site as well. It doesn’t get much better than that, does it? In truth I think this is a great creative outlet for these guys, I just question whether or not there is actually any money in it. And so does Judd Apatow apparently, if you watch the video below!
