Send A Voice Mail from Optimus Prime
Michael Bay’s Transformers is coming to DVD next week, and although I won’t be picking it up, that won’t stop me from taking advantage of the new viral marketing gimmick they’ve got going here. Like the Snakes on a Plane one that came before it, this nifty web tool allows you to call a buddy and send a customizable voice message directly from Optimus Prime himself! There’s no mistaking that booming voice, although somehow I can’t help but feel some small amount of pity for Peter Cullen getting stuck doing promotional crap like this. Now if only they had some of those proposed Optimus Prime one-liners available as options to send along with the message. “My strength lay not in my metal body fellow Autobots, but in the mettle of my soul.â€
