Wes Anderson’s Darjeeling Limited Prequel Hotel Chevalier Short Now Available on iTunes

As a special lead-in to the release of The Darjeeling Limited this weekend, Wes Anderson has made a 13-minute short film available online called Hotel Chevalier. The short premiered yesterday in 4 select Apple stores, and is now available as a free download from the iTunes store. Unfortunately, it’s available in the U.S. only so the rest of us will have to wait for a Google Video rip or some other streamable online version. Hotel Chevalier takes place in a hotel room in France and it stars Jason Schwartzman and Natalie Portman (naked too, I might add). The original plan was for this piece to play in theatres before the feature film, but it appears that for the moment it will only be available online. So if you live in the U.S. and have an iTunes Store account, click here to watch Hotel Chevalier now!

  1. I just downloaded and watched Hotel Chevalier. One thing’s for sure: it was directed by Wes Anderson. I’m not really a lover of Anderson’s movies, though I thoroughly enjoyed The Life Aquatic. I haven’t been looking forward to seeing The Darjeeling Limited, and this short didn’t really make me want to see it any more than before. I was more interested in seeing Natalie Portman naked than anything else and even that didn’t really come to fruition. Oh well.

  7. Rob, thank you very much for the link.

I downloaded the video on iTunes and couldn’t watch it because I’m in Brazil and can’t have an iTunes Store account (how terrible is that?).

Anyway, I was dying to watch the movie, so, thanks!
