Kenny: A Mockumentary About Sewage Management?
Hey there folks, Sean here. I’m back from the U.K., and it was a lot of fun… I’m sure I’ll talk a bit about the trip on tomorrow’s podcast. Anyway, I managed to catch a couple movies while I was away, which I will have reviews up for in the next day or two (Eagle vs Shark and Run Fatboy Run), and in the meantime I thought I’d post up a couple trailers that I saw in theatres over there. The first one is an Australian comedy called Kenny that everyone seems to be going crazy about overseas… personally I think it looks absolutely stupid, but maybe I’m just missing something. It’s a mockumentary about a guy who works installing porta-loos (or Johnny On The Spots as they’re more commonly referred to over here). He also just happens to have a speech impediment. Potty humour from a guy who talks funny… sounds like a brilliant combination right? Yeah, not really, but it did win a bunch of awards down under, and even Empire Magazine gave it a good review so maybe it’s worth checking out? No word on a North American release date as of yet, but you can check out the UK trailer below.
