It seems like a good week for DVD buying if you’re into TV box sets and/or Saturday Night Live alumni. The two biggest releases of the week without a doubt are Heroes: Season 1 and Blades of Glory, both available on standard DVD or HD-DVD. Some other noteworthy TV releases in stores today are Masters of Horror: Season 1 (also available in two 6 episode volume sets), Friday Night Lights: Season 1, and Samurai Jack: Season 4. New movies that you may want to check out include Mike White’s indie comedy Year of the Dog starring Molly Shannon, and Jamie Kennedy’s tribute to the 80’s Kickin’ It Old School. Last but certainly not least, one of the greatest movies ever made has finally arrived on DVD: Ski School baby! Need I say more?
