Official Version of Neill Blomkamp’s Next Live Action Halo Short: Combat Part 1
Last month we were treated to a live action Halo short film courtesy of Neill Blomkamp and WETA, and it served as a small victory for the people who believed that Blomkamp could have directed a kick ass Halo feature film if the project hadn’t fallen apart. Of course, the promo didn’t show much other than some futuristic machinery and a soldier suiting up for action. Where was the alien carnage? Well now Blomkamp’s second digital short has arrived online (the official version, not the crappy handheld leaked version) and it steps up to deliver a realistic-looking and seriously intense ground-level firefight. I’m now convinced that he could give us the best military sci-fi flick since Starship Troopers, if only someone would pony up the cash. Stay tuned for more digital shorts as they go online in the weeks leading up to the release of Halo 3.

Blomkamp will have a lot of people ‘eating crow’. (I hate that saying) This guy is perfect for this.
