Twisted Terror Collection: Unreleased Horror Movies from Oliver Stone, John Carpenter and Wes Craven
As studios realize that they’re starting to run out of back catalog stuff to release on DVD, they’re turning toward some rather obscure and unlikely titles to keep the money flowing in. Case in point, Warner’s Twisted Terror Collection, a box set that includes 6 different lesser known horror movies from some big name directors. The set includes the following movies and special features:
Someone’s Watching Me (1978)
- Directed by John Carpenter, Starring Lauren Hutton and Adrienne Barbeau
- Special features: John Carpenter: Director Rising featurette
The Hand (1981)
- Directed by Oliver Stone, Starring Michael Caine
- Special features: Commentary by Oliver Stone, Theatrical Trailer
Deadly Friend (1986)
- Directed by Wes Craven, Starring Kristy Swanson
- Special features: Theatrical Trailer
From Beyond The Grave (1973)
- Directed by Kevin Connor, Starring Peter Cushing
Eyes of a Stranger (1981)
- Directed by Ken Wiederhorn (Return of the Living Dead Part II), Starring Jennifer Jason Leigh
Dr. Giggles (1992)
- Directed by Manny Coto, Starring Larry Drake
Of these titles, I believe Dr. Giggles is the only one that was previously available on DVD. John Carpenter’s Someone’s Watching Me was a made for TV movie released right after Halloween. Each of the movies will also be available individually for $14.97, while the whole set will run you $49.92. Look for it in stores on September 25th.

I can’t believe you didn’t once mention in the article anything about Manny Coto. THE Manny Coto. There must be legions of fans waiting for Dr. Giggles. Manny Coto is back!

Posted by Jim Squires on August 23rd, 2007This looks awesome. And it’s a great way for the studios to get something out of these titles. If only the special features were noteworthy. You know John Carpenter would do a commentary for 1.50$, so there’s no excuse.
