Matt Damon to Star as Himself in PBS Cartoon Arthur

They say that when an actor or musician has kids, their artistic output goes straight downhill. While I’ve never completely subscribed to that theory, in this case, I can’t help but point out the fact that Matt Damon and his wife just had a baby last year — and now next month Damon is going to be making an appearance on the PBS cartoon Arthur. I had heard about this a while back but didn’t really take notice; I just imagined him doing a guest voice for a character or something like that. However, now that I’ve seen this picture of Damon in animated form with cute furry ears and a skin tight shirt, it seems more than a little creepy! Can you say, ambiguously gay duo? Damon’s episode airs on September 3rd.

  1. what a way to follow up Bourne Ultimatum

  2. yeah, it looks like someones furry fan art.

but i know its not the first time this sort of thing has happened, i saw Art Garfunkel on that show once and he was a moose or something.

  3. He can go all Jason Bourne on ‘em.

  4. Damon is a cool cat. He’s made some pretty smart decisions over the years so if he wants to guest on a cartoon, so be it.

You’re right about the kids sucking artistic integrity out of their parents though. Eddie Murphy, Jack Black, Mike Myers etc.

Damn children, damn them all to hell.

  5. I wonder if his mouth will be upside down in the cartoon too?

  6. BWAHAHAHA. This is awesome.
