Cool Viral Marketing Site for Showtime’s Dexter Season 2
You know I’m a sucker for cool viral marketing tactics like the Snakes on a Plane phone call from Samuel L. Jackson, The Office phone call from Dwight, and the Criss Angel Freak Your Mind video. Well now, the marketing team behind Showtime’s amazing TV series Dexter came up with a cool new idea in order to promote the second season premiere. What they’ve done is made a customizable video clip of a news broadcast talking about evidence found at the scene of a murder. You can make your friend’s name spelled out in blood on a wall and leave a creepy message for them. Just try not to scare your parents with it! Season 2 of Dexter premieres on September 30th, but if you just can’t wait that long, the first 2 episodes have already leaked online. The Season 1 DVD set will also hit stores on August 21st.

I think I’ve come to the party a little late, but I’ve only recently heard about Dexter. I love the concept, but haven’t had a chance to watch the show yet. Anybody out there have any feedback on it?

I’ve seen all but the last episode of season 1 and I’ve enjoyed it immensely but I am not sure if this show is the sort of thing that will work for multiple seasons. I mean eventually the righteous serial killer thing will get thin and he’ll turn bad or go all Clock Work Orange and just become a regular guy.
