Just wanted to say great show. I thought maybe it would be a boring topic but it totally wasn't at all. I loved hearing just a list of great titles and why they're great.

had a bunch of things to say at the time, while listening in my car, but now of course I've forgotten them all.

I guess I'd just say props to a bunch of films listed by you guys in your overall list that were not in my OFC ballot, but definitely in my personal top 100...

Big Trouble in Little China
Traffic
Devil and Daniel Johnston
Squid and the Whale
Mystic River
28 Days Later
Heat
Ferris Bueller
STAR TREK IV: The Voyage Home (yes)

blah blah...

As always, great show guys. I better get back to work. Cheers!

PS - Godfather = most over rated film of all time

Yeah, that was another sequel I overlooked. Although I think those films, especially The Good, The Bad & The Ugly, can stand on their own.

There is no doubt that I thought Kill Bill Vol. 2 was a much better film, but I couldn't put Vol. 1 in my top 20. From 21-40 I'm sure I could find a place for it. Just looking at my top 20, I already have 3 films Tarantino was involved in and 4 would be pushing it, heh.

Jay, some would also say that The Good, The Bad & The Ugly is a sequel and part of "The Dollars" trilogy.

Hey Primal, Kill Bill Vol. 2 without Vol. 1? Interesting.

I found it tough to come up with the top 100 as well, I think you have to start by just brainstorming as many good movies as you can. I referred to my DVD collection and an archive of past reviews to help a bit.

After listening your guys' podcast on your top 100 movies, I tried to make mine and I found it way too difficult. For my top 20 I just ended up putting more of my favorite films than "important" films people should see. I'd like to share with you guys my top 20 list which isn't in order.

Pulp Fiction
The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly
The Godfather
Jurassic Park
Goodfellas
Mulholland Dr.
Once Upon a Time in America
The Deer Hunter
Dog Day Afternoon
The Thing
Pan’s Labyrinth
Aliens
Total Recall
Amelie
Matrix
Kill Bill Vol. 2
Grindhouse
Lost in Translation
The Professional(Leon)
Carlito’s Way

Greg - I'll forgive you, because as you can see from the short list I left in my last comment, there are many films absent which many people would scoff at me for leaving off the list (i.e. The Godfather and Citizen Kane).

Rian,

I prefer Alien to Aliens and the first film was one of the last films I cut before finalizing the 100 and in all honesty the final 10 movies I cut and the final 10 movies I kept could easily be interchangeable on any given day. I gave props to the trailer in the other podcast though. Where's my holla for that???

Sweet Christ on a cracker! I'm amazed. Normally I tend to agree with just about everything Jay says on the podcast, but much to my surprise, my own personal list is much more similar to Sean's. I really am surprised.

And Greg, neither Alien nor Aliens made your list? For shame...

For shits and giggles, here's a quick list of 25 of my faves in no real order. This is off the top of my head, so there may be some missing:

Aliens (this is my #1)
John Carpenter's The Thing (#2)
Snatch
Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels
Terminator II
Rules of Attraction
Pulp Fiction
Kill Bill (Vol. 1 & 2; In my mind it's all one movie)
American Beauty
Slither
Children of Men
The Big Lebowski
The Way of the Gun
Grind House
Predator
Tremors
Seven
Fight Club
Go
Spiderman 2
The Iron Giant
Alien
Imaginary Heroes
Clerks
Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid
