I thought that after a slow first hour or so it came together in the end very interestingly. I agree with its presence in the top 100, but I wonder why many critics always consider it be in the top 10 movies of all time. Is it enough that it was a sentimental romantic drama with Nazis, and had a screenwriter that gave Bogey some catchy lines? I actually just watched Casablanca for the first time tonight. The AFI list seemed to ignore modern cinema, and although I haven't looked at it in a while I think the newest movie on their list was fron 1996.
